I'm Stephen Parsons. I'm an Orthodox Christian convert of more than 17 years from classical Pentecostal Christianity. My contributions here have been from an Orthodox perspective as a learner, an ordained reader and chanter, and organist (many Greek Orthodox Churches in the U.S. use an organ to accompany the choir, which is not typical for other Orthodox.) I am a member of Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in San Jose California, under Metropolitan Gerasimos of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco, part of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

I was elected to the board of trustees of the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute, a member of the Graduate Theological Union of the University of California at Berkeley, in 2012.
