Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! jni 10:49, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
FAU
[edit]The warning I left was for the IP you provided. This IP vandalized a list of FAU alumni. So it must have been made by one of the people you share the IP with. But the vandalism has been cleaned up. The article in question is here. Let me know if you have any other questions or if there is anything I can help you with. KnightLago 11:23, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- I see the problem. You are completely right. I tagged the wrong IP with a vandal tag. I have now removed it from your IP address. There is no list or anything, it was just a warning. I must have reverted the page, and then went to warn the IP, but instead of clicking the right one I clicked the one below it (yours). And when I looked at its contributions all I saw was a single edit to the FAU alumni article so I thought I had the right IP. We are connected more than you think, I went to FAU, and wrote the FAU alumni article. Sorry for the confusion. Again, let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. October 2011
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Military Macaw, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. The reverted edit can be found here. pluma Ø 06:10, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Military Macaw with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Skarebo (talk) 06:49, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
- I saw your edit to my talk page telling me how you deleted that content because you think Macaws should not be kept as pets. I definitely agree with you there, but WP:NPOV states that "Articles mustn't take sides, but should explain the sides, fairly and without bias. This applies to both what you say and how you say it." So, you can't just delete a part of text that you don't agree with. Instead, why don't you write a section that explains why it is bad to keep Macaws as pets? Thank you and happy editing! pluma Ø 01:37, 25 October 2011 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Duracell. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Duracell~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
