Members
[edit]AH is already listing RIT and Air Force as members at http://www.atlantichockeyonline.com Is that premature? ccwaters 02:22, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Eh. This season's over. Next season, they'll be members. In the interim, who knows? There's no set time like a fiscal year to say "This is the day new members join their leagues." Air Force is still listed on College Hockey America's web site (although said site is rather poor quality and hard to navigate). USCHO still lists RIT as D-I Independent and Air Force in CHA. CollegeHockeyNews.com has partially switched RIT in Atlantic Hockey [1] but not completely [2]; Air Force is still listed in CHA.
- So is it premature? Probably not. On those college hockey websites, folks are probably still looking for information on the 05-06 season. Here, I'm tempted to say the past is past and might as well start making the moves for the next season. But that may just be me dreading the long wait until next season. =) Powers 14:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
- Since Colorado Springs is plainly not "in the northeastern United States", shouldn't the lead be changed? - PhilipR 05:50, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Primary Conferences
[edit]With this edit, each school's primary athletic conference was added to the list. I'm not sure whether that's really necessary for the article. Perhaps if I understood the reasoning? Powers T 03:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- OK, now there's even more stuff in the table. Is the founding date really relevant to an athletic conference? Powers T 15:16, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Athletic conferences often form around schools with similar sizes, affiliations, and histories. Putting this information in a table with the membership not only shows the differences among the members, but also shows how conferences are likely to change (like when teams moved from the Big East to the ACC, C-USA to the Big East, and the WAC to C-USA). This information has long been on all-sport conference pages, and seemed reasonable to include on hockey conference pages. As a caveat, there is talk from time to time about primary conferences sponsoring hockey themselves, and thus having the primary conference information in the table helps illustrate the impact such a move would have on conferences and the sport. - Thanks for the info. I can see where it's all useful, but it seems very crowded. And you removed the column for championship years, which seems useful (though the same information could be gleaned from the list of championship game results). Powers T 23:36, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
