Someone decided to make this article about astrology political and decided to say that a trine in a chart is related to the injustices in the American justice system. The comment was totally unsubstantiated and not backed up at all by any case studies or research. It was controversial and designed to add editorial flare to the piece, but not backed up by any facts. It is for that reason that I made the decision to delete the statement. Astrology is a science and people should not use it to make political statements without evidence to back it up. --TracyRenee 02:58, 7 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I agree: WP articles should not add irrelevant political manifestos: and WP articles should not contain statements without evidence to back it them up.
Oh dear! The latter applies to the trine article itself.
But where is the WP standard source that allows Astrology to be called a science?--SilasW (talk) 21:24, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How on earth can anyone talk about unsubstantiated information and then state that astrology is a science! Astrology is NOT a science. There is absolutely no scientific basis for the claims made! At best, it relies on faith, more rationally it is a potentially dangerous superstion.

Trines? How can an angle between distant celestial bodies be measured in space. (An arbitary +- 8degrees has been mentioned) An angle only has meaning when the plane is defined and the centre of the turning is fixed. Where do you measue from? my guess is an arbitary "celestial" chart produced by a skilled charlatan.

Please don't give credibility to a supertstition by using quasi scientific terms as though they have meaning.Blamin (talk) 11:51, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
