User talk:Ta bu shi da yu/Christian views of women
sorry it took me so long to reply.. I've been thinking about the question. Still not sure what's wrong with that sentence, but I value your opinion, and am willing to stipulate that there might very well be something wrong with it, that I just don't see. I'm going to explain what I mean, and see what you can do with that... and you are welcome to delete it if it seems wrong or fix it so it's right. What I meant was
Jesus taught using stories. Lots of his stories were about (whatever) . He felt comfortable using women as an example of those traits, which he wouldnt have done if he thought women were somehow unworthy. or something like that.. I stil don't see the problem with the sentence, but like I said, you can change it if you can make it better. I actually don't know that much about Christian views,(I don't think a follower of Christ is the same as a Christian, if you follow me, theres lots of different kinds of Christians, but only one Jesus, and if one is really a believer in Him, following him is easy, and not something that leads to conflicting opinions. I expect you understand that.)... but I think I do know about Jesus' views towards women. He loved them just like he loves all of us, and he valued them and as far as I know, never demeaned them in any way. Of course I can't get away with saying I know what Jesus thought, without massive backlash, as that's demonstrably POV, and at any rate doesn't really belong in an article on Christian views, because Jesus wasn't Christian, he was a Jew and seemed to value spirituality more than religion, and IMO, founded a church and not a religion...bottom line though, if you think theres something lacking in that sentence, I don't mind at all if you fix it. Really. I'd also appreciate if you delete this comment, or move it somewhere less visible, as I am sort of baring my soul here, about smething I usually keep more private. agaim, sorry to take so long to get back to you, I was trying to find a short way to say all of this. Oh, one more thing... are you an admin yet? If not, are you willing to be one? Pedant 08:28, 2004 Nov 5 (UTC)
