- Comment (no vote yet). ISBN 0953349500. Amazon.co.uk sales rank 551,041; my personal rule of thumb is that a book with a sales rank number larger than 200,000 usually is not notable. Published by "Oil of the Greater North Ltd." Have not been able to find out much about this publisher. A search by publisher on amazon.co.uk shows "Small Town Antichrist (A Scots Armageddon)" as its only listed publication, I suspect it's self-published. Another reason for suspecting this is that neither the U.K. nor the U.S. Amazon site displays an image of the cover, something that requires a small amount of care and attention, and something self-publishers and vanity presses sometimes fail to arrange for.
- Assuming it's the same person, he may have co-edited some books of literary criticism, and may have authored a hiking guide, "One Hundred Walks in the Peak District." Harvard's Widener Library catalog online has no books by Iain Grant. Neither does the Boston Public Library. The British Library catalog online lists Smalltown Antichrist: A Scots Armageddon, One Hundred Walks in the Peak District, and several books including him as editor. Abebooks, the online used book site, Smalltown Antichrist: A Scots Armageddon and One Hundred Walks in the Peak District.
- Googling on "Iain Grant" shows that it is not a rare name (3030 hits) and, interestingly enough, the author is not obviously in evidence, Apparently a "Technician; Extension: 2712; Room: C9a." at The Robert Gordon University, "Iain Grant, Head of Enforcement, IFPI," and a consultant in the food service division of St. Amour are equally Googleworthy.
- There seems to be a Canadian radio announcr named Iain Grant, "From operating karaoke booths at the CNE, to Associate Producer of the Ted Woloshyn Morning Show, Iain's career has included stops in Toronto and Vancouver, and among many (too many) others, stints in Vancouver at CKLG, CKO and AM1040, and in Toronto at 1050 Chum, CKO, CFTR, The Kessler Group and Newstalk 1010 CFRB." He may be reachable at iain@trends.net. And a folk musician by that name died in September 2003. [[User:Dpbsmith|Dpbsmith (talk)]] 01:38, 24 Sep 2004 (UTC)
