I think the two pages are the same and should be merged together. --Stillkent 15:41, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

shila is translated as rock . that is false here since the word in sanskrit is शील (shIl). the word for rock is शिला. (shilA)
the correct translation here is virtue. panch shil : Five Virtues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.62.168.28 (talk) 12:29, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
What are the five principles?
[edit]Why does this article not actually mention what the 'Five Principles' are? Surely that should be the primary content of this entry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.205.135.15 (talk) 16:43, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
This was put in the body of the article by the time I got here, and I have also added them to the lead. JArthur1984 (talk) 03:15, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
Remove template re: lead?
[edit]I have developed the lead more. It seems suitable for removing the template. Is there any disagreement? JArthur1984 (talk) 03:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
