I'm originally from the wonderful British Isles, though right now I'm living in Canada with my Canuckified fiancé to whom I proposed on Christmas Day. We met in Japan where we spent two years as Assistant English Teachers on the JET Programme.
I haven't really had a big hand in any articles, except for Tom Petty, which I rewrote pretty extensively a long time ago. I like to add things here and there. Being a pedantic bastard I'm always on the lookout for spelling and grammatical errors. My biggest love is music, so the majority of my bigger contributions are in this field, most notably Tom Petty, but also in Super Furry Animals and Kula Shaker. I've also started articles on some of the sadly-no-longer-with-us indie bands of the late 1990s, such as Campag Velocet and Earl Brutus. I did also spend a while fixing the pages relating to the British music charts in the 1990s and 2000s. I've started a lot of stubs about British comic characters, and being interested in literature, art, philosophy and psychology means that I've contributed little things to a wide range of articles, from Haruki Murakami to Villanelle. I also love patrolling the recent changes page and reverting vandalism; it's very relaxing.
I have been playing the guitar for around ten years and I am currently learning to play the ukulele. I love malt whisky, especially from the Islay region and I'm currently working on a supposedly humorous blog, The Imaginary Review. I invented the word 'apewail', meaning a 'cacophonous noise'.
