Welcome to my humble page. I come from the verdant pastures of Somerset and currently study for a PhD in condensed matter physics at University College London. I foresee most editing I do will be in some way linked to my local area, or the more obscure corners of the metropolis. Specific non-scientific interests - if not necessarily specialist subjects - include: violin and viola playing, arts and drawing, aviation, photography, city life and virtual environments.

For a possible explanation of where the name comes from, see The Wurzels. It's not my article but I may be able to add to it at some point. So far my sum contribution of new articles has been about Babycham, a sparkling part of my cultural heritage cough cough. Someone else saw fit to make the link, however, from the cider article, which maybe shouldn't have surprised me once I'd looked about a bit.
